our lives on display

with the internet and some of its hottest sites, people have decided to announce the current situation of their lives on line.

i wonder if it's more information than we need to know. kailangan ba talaga natin i-share yung mga ganong bagay sa buong mundo?

i mean, ok, siguro guilty rin ako dun in some way dahil i'm keeping a blog pero i try not to reveal every aspect of my life online. i'm scared of it's repercussions. there are too many people who have lost great opportunities, relationships, even jobs because of things they wrote or were written about them online. nowadays, you also have to be cautious of your actions...one drunken mistake at a bar and you could be the next big hit on youtube. hindi naman lahat tayo tulad ni paris hilton na kayang pasikatin ng internet 'no?!

this is just me, thinking out loud. nakaka bother kasi minsan yung mga nababasa ko online, especially from and about people i know personally.

i guess, we're all feeding an insatiable appetite for gossip. i love to read my friends blogs kasi it's one way to know what they've been up to. but none of my closest friends have written too much information online. if they did, i'll be the first to warn them and tell them to be careful.

hindi masama ang blog or friendster or myspace. kailangan lang siguro na maging maingat para walang pagsisihan later on. you'll never know when your past comes back to bite you in the @$$.
