TSELOGS!

today is the day!!!

tselogs is open at 6055 Mission Street in Daly City between Evergreen and Templeton.

tselogs is the brain child of my best friend chel. i went there today and brought the whole family along to give our moral support. my parents are good cooks and are pretty hard to please when it comes to food. we ordered the chicken sisig (to die for!), embutido (with a very slight twist), bistek and kare kare. all of the dishes passed my parents taste buds with flying colors! they liked the food so much, we're bringing our relatives there next week to celebrate my mom's 58th birthday!

i'm not just saying all these good things about the restaurant because i want to support my best friend's business...i, too, am hard to please because i also cook. but I LOVE THIS PLACE! each customer will be treated with respect and courtesy and fed deliciously!

the story of tselogs is quite a tale. it is all based on faith in the goodness of the Lord and the love of family and friends. while this is chel's business, she has the support of everyone in her family, her closest friends, and our church. more than the business, i guess you have to get to know the owner and her relationship with the Lord to see what the restaurant is all about.

it wasn't too long ago that chel brought up the idea of putting up a restaurant. i was skeptic at first. chel does not cook! so i thought in my head, 'how in the world will she survive the restaurant business if she doesn't even know how to cook rice with a rice cooker!' but the Lord provides! whatever need it is, God fulfills! she needed a cook, she was blessed with 2 amazing cooks! she needed a good location, she was given a large space on mission street with a lot of foot traffic. she needed money, the Lord provided every single penny that went to the restaurant without the need for investors. so if you talk to chel, she will not take credit for any of it. and she shouldn't. tselogs was built by the Lord, entrusted to people whose faith knows no limits and whose vision knows no bounds. people like chel.

but the vision does not end with tselogs. chel is not in it for the sole purpose of making money. of course she wants the business to do well, but after this business takes off and starts making real money, she wants to put up a school in the philippines that offers the highest quality of education, free for deserving students who have the abilities but lack resources to pursue an education. every need of the child will be provided for: school supplies, lunches, you name it. now that i have seen what the Lord has done, i have no doubt that this vision will come to pass. if the restaurant was put up, then the Lord will build the school!

but right now, lets support tselogs. the address is 6055 Mission Street in Daly City between Evergreen and Templeton. You can call and order for pick up at 415-337-4670 or visit http://www.tselogs.com/

try the buko pie. i heard it's marvelous! *wink* =)
